The Upper Arlington Schools Nutritional Services staff takes great pride in providing our students with nutritious, tasty, and visually appealing lunches and snacks. Items sold or served at our schools meet very strict state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

Starting with the 2017-2018 school year, all Upper Arlington schools are using a new digital menu system that offers families more information about the meals we're serving students.

You can access nutritional and allergy information and digitally create meals with your student to help them make healthy choices in the cafeteria. And all of this is accessible by visiting or through the Nutrislice app that you can download to your phone or tablet!

How do I access the Upper Arlington's Nutrislice site?

Upper Arlington’s Nutrislice site can be accessed via the direct link located on the Upper Arlington School District’s Nutritional Services Page, by going to the site directly at or downloading the Nutrislice app on your device (see “How do I access/download the Nutrislice app?”).

How do I access my building's menu?

On the home page, select the “Choose your school” drop down box and select building level.

After selecting building level, then select your building.  (This will take you directly to that building’s main menu page.)

How do I download the Nutrislice app?

Search the App Store or Google Play for “School Lunch Menus by Nutrislice.”

On welcome screen, select Upper Arlington City Schools.  

You can select a "heart" to make a school your favorite.

Then select the building menus you wish to view.

How do I view nutritional information for a menu item?

Once on your building’s main menu page, you can hover the mouse over the menu item you would like to view.

The informational box will pop up for the item.  You'll be able to view the following information:

    • Menu item picture and description

    • Food group classifications for the item

    • Nutritional information per serving

How do I access allergy information?

Click on “Show Special Diets Info” near the bottom right of the pop-up box for the menu item. 

Read and acknowledge the terms and conditions for using the ingredients and special diet information tool.

If the menu item contains any of “Top 8” allergens, it will indicate at top of informational box with an icon and text for that allergen.

How do I view foods that contain a particular allergen – one of the “Top 8”?

1. Click on “Filter Allergens” in the top right of the toolbar to the right of the monthly menu.

2. Select the allergen you would like to filter for.

3. Read and acknowledge special diet information.

4. If the item contains the allergen, the item will be grayed out. If ingredients are not fully available, item will have a orange caution triangle.


Can I access the ingredients for menu items?

Yes.  In the menu item informational box, click on the “View Manufacturer Label” below the nutritional information.

This will download a manufacturer’s product information sheet containing ingredients and allergens.

How can I get just the information on carbohydrates?

Click the gray “View carb counts button” in the top right of the toolbar to the right of the monthly menu.

This will take you to a page that will provide the fiber and carbohydrate counts for all menu items that week.  (It will also include this information for any items provided in the dropdown boxes on the right of main menu page – snacks, milk, etc.)

How do I print the menu?

Click the gray “Print Menu” button on your school’s main menu page. 

This will take you to print screen page. The following filtering options are available:

  • Print by week or month;

  • Include carbohydrate counts;

  • Change font size;

  • Show special diet information; and

  • Include or exclude certain food categories.

Is the menu available in other languages?

Yes. Click the gray “Select Language” button on your school’s main menu page. 

This will pull up the language translator on the left side of the page. 

Select language to which you want to have the menu translated.

Menu will be translated into the selected language.

Can I prepay for my child's meals?

Yes, you have two options for prepayment.  You may add money to you child's lunch account online through SPS EZPay.  You may also deliver a check made payable to Upper Arlington Schools to the cook at your child's school.
