Daily assignments for Spanish 7 and 8 are found on the
"Homework White Board" in Señor McAlpine's classroom, Room 218.
Homework assignments are assigned on a daily basis. Our daily Spanish homework is designed to reinforce vocabulary and grammar structures practiced each day in class. Students are expected to maintain an organized planner - recording all assignments and upcoming dates for quizzes or tests.
Students who are absent from class should check the class "absence folder" upon their return for a summary of activities done in class and for homework that was assigned. Students have 2 days to make up work for each day absent.
Students are encouraged to attend GLRC for extra practice
or to complete assignments missed due to absence. GLRC can be particularly
helpful to students for additional practice prior to quizzes or tests.
On-line practice:If you would
like to practice/review your Spanish with on-line Quia activities,
Señora Clark's or Señora
Wiest's homework sites have links to Quia.
•GLRC stands for Global Language
Resource Center. GLRC is a place where students can go for extra
help, to ask questions, to work on Spanish homework if they need help,
or to review for upcoming tests/quizzes. Students who are struggling
or are below proficient are strongly encouraged to attend GLRC on a regular
basis.
•Señor McAlpine is the GLRC teacher this year for 8th grade students; students should come to room 218 during FLEX for help on GLRC days. 7th graders can see Señora Wiest in room 211 during their FLEX period.
