What is your connection to Ohio?

Louise: I was born in Struthers, Ohio

Mary: I was born in Columbus, and have lived in the Columbus area all of my life.

What inspired you to become an author or illustrator?

Louise: I've always loved to read, and I wanted to be able to write.

Mary: I enjoy doing research. Writing was the next step.

What advice do you have for a young author or illustrator?

Louise: Keep on writing.

Mary: Don't give up!

What do you like to do for fun?

Louise: I enjoy traveling with my husband and reading on the beach.

Mary: I like going to the movies, traveling, shopping, and, of course, reading.
