Monthly Events --A Sidewalk story

A Joint Project Begins--Barrington's Second Grade Students join with Jones Seventh Grade Students to create public artwork

First Seventh Graders interview the Second Graders about their interests.

Then the seventh graders chose a theme and designed and cut a stencil.

The two classes got togther and painted their images.

Here are the messages our students are sending about what is most important to them.

My stencil is a dog and a basketball combined. This makes the dog's head the basketball. The reason for this is because Sam's favorite sport is basketball and his favorite animal is dog. Sam also has a dog, and so, because the stencil represents Sam I decided to use things that he really enjoyed. I drew another dog around the large dog as well. I also put a crayon h=that will be colored red because Sam likes the color red.
