UA's Global Language Proficiency Program Highlighted! Upper Arlington's Global Language Proficiency Program was highlighted in the November 2007 issue of The Language Educator, a national publication of the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages. The software program used by the Global Language Department is being upgraded, and the older CD Rom collections will be made available to interested students at a reduced price. These practice activities correspond to the textbook materials used in the Global Language classrooms and are available for both Mac and PC users for German Levels 1 and 2, and French and Spanish Levels 1, 2, and 3. This computer software offers a great opportunity for practice at home. Look for them in the School Store in the very near future!
Global Language Scholarship The Global Language Department awards a $1000 scholarship, in Robert A. Hawkin’s name, to a senior planning to pursue a college education in foreign language. Candidates must have completed at least four years of the same foreign language and attain a 3.5 GPA in that language and a 3.0 GPA overall. Applications are available in the College Center each spring. The deadline for turning in all materials to the College Center is in early May and is indicated on the application form.

Global Language CD Roms For Sale!
