THE UAHS ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST
ABOUT THE CONTEST
The UAHS Photo Contest was established in 2000 for the purpose of showcasing student talent in photography and stimulating school-wide interest in photography as an art form. The contest has become an annual event since its inception and has yielded an impressive, diverse exhibit of student artwork in the hallways. This exhibit is a permanent installment that will continue to grow from year to year.
The contest is presented by the UAHS Photo Club and has been funded by various sponsors. Winners of the competition receive a gift certificate, a certificate of achievement and most importantly of all: the honor of having a framed poster print of their winning photo permanently displayed in the halls of UAHS!
Visitors to Upper Arlington High School often comment on the exhibit and praise the obvious talent of our students. Each year the entries for the contest has grown considerably in both quantity and quality, making it more and more difficult to judge the final winners. This is typical of how things go at this great school - give the students a challenge and they will embrace that challenge with an ever growing passion to get involved and to excel. Just a walk through the halls is proof positive of this!
